acer aspire screen has gray shadow spot on right side

ascer aspire has gray shadow spot about 1.5 inch diameter on upper right side , this spot just appeared and I cannot make it disappear

Hi,

It may be an issue with the display itself cause by dying pixels. Do these following test to be sure and contact Acer Support as soon as you find out that it's really the display and if it's still under the factory warranty for a repair.
- Boot the laptop into BIOS, if the gray shadow is till present that's an indicator that it's a display problem.
- Connect an external monitor and see if the same problem will persist.
- Lastly, also do try to uninstall/reinstall the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics card driver (AMD or NVIDIA)
- Open Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to your graphics card (AMD or NVIDIA)
- Download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers website.

- Reboot the laptop for all the changes to take effect.
