Acer Nitro AN515-53, Windows 10, everything as up to date as possible. It had been making a very grating sound from the CPU fan that was slowly driving me out of my mind, so I just replaced that fan. It's still making a sound intermittently, but the noise stops sometimes if I pick up the back edge of the laptop, or tap sharply right above the keyboard, which makes me think it's still a hardware issue of some sort. But additionally, sometimes it just stops completely and my NitroSense app shows that both fans are at 0 RPM; I was under the impression that if the laptop was on, the CPU fan at least was running constantly, even if it was just at low speeds. If anyone has any notions about what's up with this fan, I would appreciate it, thank you.
