Acer Aspire won't boot, no BIOS access

I'm working on a laptop for someone. I can't get to the BIOS - I've tried every key combo.

I can't boot from a USB or CD b/c there is a boot password set in the BIOS.

Can't reset the BIOS on the motherboard b/c the battery is sort of glue in. Can't find any jumpers or anything.

Help! Any ideas?

To Turn On or Off Fast Startup in System Settings

1. Go to 'Control Panel' and click on the "Power Options icon".
2. Click "Choose what the power buttons do" on the left side.
3. Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable".
4. If prompted by UAC (User Account Control), click "Yes".
5. Do step 6 or step 7 below for what you would like to do.

6. To Turn On Fast Startup.
6a. Under "Shutdown settings", check the "Turn on fast startup box", click "Save changes", and go to step 8 below.

7. To Turn Off Fast Startup.
7a. Under "Shutdown settings", uncheck the "Turn on fast startup box", click "Save changes", and go to step 8 below.

8. You can now close the 'System Settings' window.

Note: If the "Turn on fast startup" setting is not listed, then you will need to close the "System Settings" window, enable "hibernate", and then start over at step 1 again.

I should have been more clear. I can't boot to anything, not the hard drive, external drive, nothing.

I detached and reattached the cmos battery, hoping that would reset the bios. Nope.

Took out hard drive and tried starting. Nope.

Just can't get to the BIOS. I know the password once I get there. But at the moment there seems to be password protection on the boot loader.

Sigh. I'm thinking maybe this is too difficult to explain

I have the passwords. To the BIOS. I have every password I need.

I simply can't get to the BIOS to use it AND I can't boot or load the OS. From anywhere.

Hi, what message do you see on the screen? Maybe the problem has nothing to do with the password, the laptop isn't booting at all.

Try a different hard drive with similar OS,,, Move this HD to a similar computer.... Use the Hard Reset switch ( a pin hole )
