Acer audio update

Hello, I have an Aspire 5551G and the sound is terrible on it. Whenever I increase the sound volume above 15 on the speakers bar the sound is distorted

Try reinstalling the sound drivers. On the manufacturer's website you might find some updated drivers for that particular model. If that does not fix it, it could be the speaker(s) that are damaged. To check that, plug in a headphone set and see if the problem persists with the headphones. If it doesn't, it is the speaker.
