Solved! Acer Battery Not Detected ... Flashing Orange Light

I have an Acer Gateway NVb05u. The laptop will only turn on if the charger is plugged in. I have tried leaving it charge over night but the orange light just flashes and does not hold a charge.

I am trying to figure out if this needs a battery replacement or if it is something else.
Any ideas?

Most laptop have a diagnostic software test which will check the battery. Search on the internet for Acer battery diagnostic. Sure sounds like a battery issue but there is also a small chance the internal charging circuitry (on the motherboard) is bad.
