Acer battery not fully charging

Hello,MY BATTERY INDICATES CHARGING BUT HAS BEEN AT 16%OR LESS FOR ABOUT 24HOURS. IT NEVER FULLY CHARGED. FOR THE PAST 2 MONTHS. IT IS A NEW LAPTOP BEARLY 9 MONTHS OLD.. ASPIRE 5251-1513

How long does it take to run out of charge?

You may just need to reset the battery. Take it out of your laptop for a few hours and then put it back in.

Same symptom for me...using the laptop when it is plugged in all the time with the battery installed will prevent the battery from fully charging and prematurely wear out the battery as it does a fixed number of charging cycles. I got a new Energy+ battery (AS10D41) and started fresh, only charging when it's called for, and its working great for me.

refresh the battery charge cycle.

1. discharge the laptop till it turns off.
2. keep the machine off, plug in the charger.
3.charge till green light.
4.start machine.

you may have to do this a few times, however i have a feeling you need a new battery to resolve the whole issue. * easy fix * ebay.
