I don't see how the bios is a violation of any code. It's just a bios.

You may need to contact Acer stating your make and model of your notebook.
 
I assumed the BIOS was locked by a password and that's the code the OP was trying to obtain. If that is not the case, then my apologies to the OP and TenPC is correct in that you probably need to contact ACER.

Even if the bios was locked by a password, there is nothing in the bios that gives any information about anything about the user or owner.
If the Notebook is locked by a lan network, mostly student and University type laptops/notebooks, then you'd need to contact the school administration office.

Either way, you will still need to contact Acer Support for the bios password.
