What are the symptoms, i.e. it won't power on or what? Let us know so we can make a definite diagnosis. If it is indeed a motherboard issue though, chances are it occurred due to heat damage. Remember laptops run hotter than a desktop.

Hi buwish i have been told to bin it mate to exspensive to repair it will not do anything no power up nothing having to use the kids laptop now am gutted.
 
Well, if you took it to someone who knows about such matters, it's probably the best thing to do. If not, let us know what the symptoms are and perhaps it could be something less severe. If it is not powering up, it could be an issue with either the battery or AC adapter. Do you know if both are in good working order?
