My acer aspire 5530G shuts down when it gets very hot. And it gets very hot very fast.....let's say under 20 minutes. Please help what could be the problem?
Most times overheating on a laptop is caused by dust and lint build up.
You can clean most of it out by blowing compressed air in the vent from the back.
Where ever the air from the fan comes out blow air in.
This usually results in large pieces of the build up getting caught in the fan area which can be removed with toothpick or similar item.
The above post is assuming that the fan is working and the intake for the fan is not blocked.
placing it on a bed, pillow or your lap will block the fan intake.
