Acer laptop.problem to access

I am using my husband`s new pc since my acer lapptop is not working properly. I cannot get my computer to open for access, I have tried to open my password to do this, but no typing is shown, sometimes there is a lock on the access, when I open this, a series of menus come up, e g restart, update required, yet done moments before, or shut down. what is going on? we had bt infinity package recently installed, I was told we /I have cd for infinity start up our computer s with macafee security installed. a basket of problems to give you, sorry about this. can you tell me how to recover my laptop to its once use as it used to a good working laptop almost a best friend?

You could always activate the built in restore, but you WILL LOSE all your personal data...

Or YOU COULD EXPLAIN more clearly what is happening...

Like...

1, I press power button to turn it on...
