acer laptop wifi trouble pls help!!

Ok so i have a acer laptop its not newbut my son mesaed around with it and now it wont pick up any wireless networks ive gone device manager ive gone to connect to a network i even tried setting up a wireless network but it only gave a broadband selection i have an unlock/lock button on the bottom and both of them disnt give me a wireless network i even tried "fn+f3" and that didnt work either pls pls help me i dont wanna have to keep using my actual ethernet cable to have internet just way more convenient to have wireless?? Im beggin for help lol???!!@##&
