Acer laptop will not open installation disc

Hi,
Start by uninstalling/reinstall the DVD driver from Device Manager.
- Go to Device Manager then right click on the CD/DVD driver and select Uninstall.
- Reboot the laptop and that should reinstall the driver automatically upon reboot.
- Try to run that disc again and see if that resolves the problem.
- Next is to try this fix it. https

- Also try to run System Restore and put it back to an earlier date before you had this issue.
