Solved! Acer Netbook locked up

I have an Acer Netbook which will only give me the initial screen "Aspire One" The screen remains there when I close and open the netbook. I cannot get to the Windows screen. Any ideas?

Looks like it's either locking up on POST or not finding your hard disk anymore. Can you get into the BIOS setup?

I am not sure how to do that, but it does not seem to respond to anything at all.

Are there any key commands it gives you on screen to do anything? (for instance, ESC for boot menu or F10 for BIOS)

It was completely unresponsive, but I accidentally fixed it by holding the "on" button down for about 5 seconds. Thank you for your responses.
