Acer netbook - slow down the keypad touch

My mom is severely disabled. i bought her the netbook to see if it could help her communicate. she can get her finger to the keypad to type letters but it takes her a long time to lift her finger up off the keypad to move to the next letter in the word she is spelling. question: how do i slow down the touch pad so that it doesn't feel the weight of my mom's finger and thus pop up 27 't's while she tries to lift up her hand? huge thanks. this is my last hope to help her. heather

You might try looking in Windows Control Panel, Mouse.

Alternatively, an external mouse (probably USB) might be a better solution.
