Advice on buying laptop for animation and video editing

Hi

I'm looking for recommendations on buying a laptop for doing animation, video editing, and graphics editing. Software to be used: photoshop, after effects, premiere pro, and perhaps maya.

Price: $1500 more or less.

Dell m3800 or xps 15 , the base models are going to be right around $1500, maybe a little less with student discount/work discount etc. If you don't need something that is lightweight maybe something other than those models
