I don't see how this is any different than buying a digital antenna. Either way you don't pay the broadcaster.

See, that's where they lost common sense. They were NOT making any money on distribution anyways, so where is the alleged LOSS of income? All the money they're making from OTA TV signal is from advertising spots, that is money that goes to the TV station BEFORE any broadcasting happens. They don't make money FROM broadcasting. What Aereo does is brings the signal to people that don't have good (or any) reception OTA, thus increasing exposure and possibly ad revenue for these networks.

Yeah and if broadcasters really care about people "stealing" their signals then maybe they should encrypt them rather than complain that their unencrypted easy-to-grab signals are being "stolen"
