After i connect the mobile with my pc it says connecting by mtp protocol but then nothing happens

I am using samsung j2 pro

Connecting it to the computer won't make it 'do' anything on its own. You still have to open the phone from the computer (folder, etc.) and access whatever it is on the phone you want to access. None of it is automatic.
