Alienware 13 New - Worth Buying??

I am considering a laptop that can use for AUTOCAD and heavy gaming (GTA 5)

Is this a good deal?

I have an ASUS with intel HD graphic, can I use an external gpu to make GTA 5 playable on it??

BTW, I gave up alienware.. It is too risky..my friend who work at dell said too many aw are reported burnt in motherboard..

Do you have any suggestions?

Alienware is a dell product. I've owned 6 Alienwares (2 Desktops) and 4 Dells (1 Desktop) and had absolutely 0 issues with motherboards. My buddy has 2 Alienwares (1 Desktop) over the last 10 years and 0 motherboard issues Additionally if there are any issues at all then the warranty covers you anyway. Asus does not have anything like the Graphics Amplifier, so no they do not support desktop GPUs. The closest thing is the MSI dock http/www.amazon.com/MSI-GS30-SHADOW-001-13-3-Inch-Gaming/dp/B00RYZ6INW.

The graphics amplifier won't even wotk with the 2014 Alienware 18. I believe it will only work with the new 2015 Alienware 13,15 and 17.
