Alienware M17x

Processor
Intel® Core™ i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
(for the same price I could change it to a Intel® Core™ i7 620M 2.66 GHz (3.33GHz Turbo Mode, 4MB Cache) not sure which is better)

OS
Windows 7 Home

GPU
1GB ATI Radeon™ Mobility HD 4870
(Could upgrade to 2 1GB in CrossfireX for 300 bucks but I don't need it for just surfing the web and watching BluRay movies, I don't play any games on my laptop)

LCD
17-inch WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 RGB LED (1200p)

Memory
8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz
(Best you can get)

You could find a LOT LOT cheaper laptop for watching blu ray and surfing the web. If you buy alienware......

^I agree with Jake, you are spending a ton of money on a system that you will never fully take advantage of. If you want an Alienware and don't need the 17'' screen, then at least look at the M15x. It'll be cheaper and still give you more than you need.

Yea took a look at, would like a lighter laptop, my current Hp is like 15lbs and just a pain to carry around. I would think if i continue on the path of programming that I will be doing heavy programming and running it. So just want to make sure my laptop can handle that.

I know I def want SSD, I guess I could just get 4gb of memory that should be plenty for my needs =D, that CPU i am confused on which one is the best. I want a laptop that is not slow or will slow down during multitasking.
