I bought a Pavilion dv5 1211 em, the first part to go was the keyboard the PC was returned under warranty after a less than encouraging debate with the technician. The PC had been on display. I thought no more of it. Then after the 12 month warranty run out the mother board went with overheating graphics. I got no where complaining and no replies to e-mails so at least three computer shops told me it is a common fault with HP notebooks.
I paid just under £200 for a new motherboard and repair in a well known Portobello computer shop Edinburgh 9 months ago. Now the OS has gone walkabout and the F11 function does not work and the D.V.D. R.W has packed in.
Is there any thing I can do as HP Pavilion's do not seem to be fit for purpose?
