AllShare Cast Dongle To VGA Projector

im planning to buy an AllShare Cast Dongle of Samsung as a convenient tool for my presentation. we use a sony bravia so i shall have no problem with it. but i shall also consider that there are some presentations that we have to use projectors with only VGA port.

Can a HDMI to VGA cable or port abolish my doubts of buying an AllShare Cast Dongle? its quite expensive for a student like me, so please give me a good advise

Some HDMI to VGA adapters (you need more than just a passive cable) might not work since they are designed for PC use and don't have HDCP. I have used this one with success:

The Samsung seems pretty expensive compared to other devices designed to stream from your phone to TV. Check out the review on the Microsoft
