Amd 2200 at 2.360ghz but not aired cooled

indeed the xp2200+ at 2.36Ghz is weird not because of its cooling (peltier 220watts + 8°C chilled water) but because the other xp2200+ which has been overclocked to 2.2Ghz with a freeze system conducting the temperature to -3°C.

I just saw that. A single CPU, but hopefully it means there are better ones on the way.

My good friend Oppainter broke 2400Mhz, but is unstable over 2.3Ghz.

I should have posted this update earlier this weekend but I was busy. It seems 2200's (so the asswipe AMD hair splitters know that I do not mean an exact fricken number) is the max these early Tbreds can hit with stability for a short period of time.

MrIcee has condensation problems and is drying out his system, Oppainter blew a gasket on the EVA and destroyed a P4B cpu and mobo. These guys are the best in the world, and I trust the information 100%. DDTung will be the next heavy hitter bringing the Tbred up to max speed from Japan, He also has a EVA unit plus many other tricks, He is an engineer of some sorts and is capable of modding like no one else that I know of or can name.

Here is a <A HREF="http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=3769216" target="_new">benchmark</A> from the above Tbred CPU with EVA-MAX phase change plus 225watt x2 pelts.

Also if you check <A HREF="http://www.vr-zone.com/guides/AMD/AthlonXP/" target="_new">www.vr-zone.com</A> it should be updated by now.

A whole 90Mhz faster than the Palomino!

These results show how DDR400 and 400MHZ FSB for AthlonXPs IS the real limit and not 2.1GB PC2100, as well as the results of the 2.3GHZ being at XP2850, show how if AMD releases the AthlonXP2800 as they demoed, and with bus OCing and multiplier unlocking to keep the speed as is, can compete majorly against P4s, and just might be the next bargain CPU for its performance. But we'll have to see, at least the results for these OCs are getting better than the first we got from THG and the others even if the cooling was extreme.

True, but it is taking extreme cooling to get there. Not air cooled like others claimed.

I draw the line at condensation, I will not go there as it is just not worth the chance of frying stuff out.

Oppainter is using the same video card on the Tbred that he uses on the P4, the P4 2.26B still wins by a significant margin.

Now reguarding the 2.4Ghz SS, it is just that, a SS at the max bootable speed. no stability.

Many reports of the Tbred running hot due to the smaller surface/contact area, a IHS would have helped. maybe a aftermarket IHS is possible. The air pocket that is between the HSF and the base of the core traps heat, filling in with a material that can transfer heat would be a good idea, and if you could pull heat from the sides of the core (yes I know it is a small area) with the matireal used to fill in the dead air space it would also help some.

Another thing to note is the L2 and SSE not dropping out on Oppainters overclocks.

Here is a benchmark from <b>the above Tbred CPU</b> with EVA-MAX phase change plus 225watt x2 pelts.
from the benchmark link: "<b>CPU: AMD Duron(tm) Processor</b> 2287 MHz". roflMAO

do you want i continue precising?

yep. just as expected. As AMD refines their 0.13 micron process better and cooler tbred's will appear.
Allready ive seen two core revisions, one 'C' and just today pictures of the new 'G'.

dont know why people are getting so uptight.

I think the IHS for P4 is not acting as a heat spreader due to the large silicon. Personally I am pretty sure the Tbred would benefit and actually make the name IHS really what it stands for, a heat spreader to reduce temps. It is of no doubt.
Until then, Barton will be the wiser choice for OCing.

I usually don't side with you on things, but for this one, yeah Corsair3200 is one annoying guy, and yeah don't mind him.

That's roughly the equivalent of the said ClawHammer back a few months. This thing CAN and WILL kick serious ass to any P4 around its clock, for sure.

Though without SSE, it's a bit hopeless...
Still it's a nice OC for a Tbred, but I wish I'd understand the website...
