for simple everyday use which processor would be better

what is "simple everyday use"? just curious because the a8 4555 is a dual core 1.6 ghz and the intel i7 is a dual core 2 ghz. the amd choice would be much cheaper but you'd be sacrificing a little bit of power from the i7. these are both notebook processors so are you wanting to get a laptop?
