I recently purchased this laptop:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246328&nm_mc=OTC-pr1c3grabb3r&cm_mmc=OTC-pr1c3grabb3r-_-Notebooks-_-Lenovo-_-34246328

I have also read about something called crossfire, which seems to me like utilizing both gpus (dedicated and integrated in this case) to provide a slight boost in gfx permorance. Is that possible with this laptop, or am I simply mistaken on how this works?

Also, is the dual graphics mode what I should always have it in when I play games? Are there any downsides to running in crossfire all the time?

And one more question: I've done some research on laptops that have dedicated graphics. Is the dedicated gpu something that will kick in automatically for more demanding games, or do I have to manually enable this card somehow?

These are not settings you need to enable. If your laptop was designed with a crossfire setup, it's running crossfire. If it was designed with a discrete GPU, it's running off the discrete GPU.

This is not something the user is required to manage.
