hello,

I successfully unlocked my amd phenom ii x3 2.8gh black edition to a x4. stable and all. however, after I completely shutdown my pc, and reboot say.. the next day. my core is locked again, now I don't want to keep unlocking it every day, how do I prevent it from locking again?

I unlocked it on a asrock m3a790gxh/128m bios version 1.2

If I am not mistaken, you should be able to set it in the bios. Once you have unlocked it and saved your changes, it should post with the saved settings.

it does, it shows 4 cores in the bios, as well as in my system information once started up, but when I shut down my pc, and start it again, full reboot. then it's gone again.

it sounds like you have it set to auto and on reboot the bios isnt liking it.
Have you tried updating the bios or manually telling it to use 4 cores?
