Dear all,

I am currently looking to upgrade my small computer speakers and buy a pair of passive speakers and an amp within the budget around £250? While my main objective is to listen music, it would be better if the amp has a mic input.

I have done a bit of research and now understand that generally good consumer amps (e.g., Denon) for audio listening do not come with a mic input. However, some other amps (e.g., Behringer) have mic input and limited mixer functions, but those come with concerns of the clarity of audio for living room listening.

Would you please recommend any amp which are good for living room audio listening and also have 1 or 2 microphone input which could be used for small family gatherings.

Solution
Do you want to mix recorded audio with microphone? If so, then you will have to have the mixer as your pre-amp. You can then send the output of the mixer to any amp.
