Ok at times my laptop is having pop ups when I go on the net and it has given advertisements along the site I go on, is my laptop infected?

You mean pop up ads? You can try using adblock, it's free

Could be adware / spyware. Look in programs and features they'll be there. Uninstall them

Then do a full scan with something like malwarebytes
