I have a
Aspire E1-470P-6411

Windows 8 64 bit

"An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operation system."

things i tried already

1. took hard drive out... then reconnected it... nothing
2. can't (F2) won't get me into bois.
3. before this happened... I went into bois setup and changed from EFUI to legecy ...

this laptop has no dvd drive... just usb only... I am using a portable dvd ..connected via usb

out of ideas... please help...

but i can't enter the bois... i have tried tapping F2... will not allow me too get in the bois

Hi, you can try this, disconnect the battery and adapter, hold the power button for 30 seconds, reconnect the adapter and try F2 again.

the warranty has expired already...

I tried to reformat.. .but wont let me do that iether... ?

are you sure it's the f2 key and not the DEL key?

Take the hard drive out and then try accessing the BIOS.

You probably turned on fast boot so it's going through the bios process fast.

If you insert any Windows disk, does it show your hard drive in the list?

If so, try formatting it & installing the windows version on your drive.
