Question Android 12 no widget

Hello. 2 monts ago i bought a new mobile phone. Xiaomi redmi A1. i want to put sticky notess on my phone screen. like widget. i had that on my old phone. i dont remember what android was that on my old phone. when i press empty space on my home screen there should be widget option Home settings and Wallpapers. but there is not.

so what can i do? can i upgrade to normal android? can i install android 10 or something?
