Android can't connect to public wifi hotspot

Hi, i have Sony Xperia Tipo and it can connect to my home secured network without any problems but today when i was in town there are many free wifi public hotspots and they are not protected with password but my xperia tipo wont connect to any unsecured network when i click connect it just says "saved" and nothing happens, Please help.

allot of wifi spots need a password to be filled in inside of your browser, if this isn't it i have no idea

You will have to take it up with the people who own the hot spot, nothing we can do to help you here.
