android phone is lost and dead

how do I find it? Is there a way with GPS or some other "technological" way to find it even though it's dead? I really need a real answer please, not just "look for it." Thanks.

No sorry the phones needs to be on for you to track it with any app. And for the police to track it i think it can be off but the battery has to have a charge. So i think you may be outta luck sorry.

You should understand why the phone is almost untraceable.
The phone is off, no worries, the cyber police can still locate it using some advanced tools but since the battery is dead, the phone can't send, reply to any kind of signal, so it really can't be tracked.
I know you'll hate it, but stress your brain, relax, have a coffee, you might get the place you placed it last.

What do you mean by dead phone, should be with drained battery. I don't think you can locate by yourself.
