Android phone restarting randomly

I was browsing the web with my android phone and it randomly restarted. I was able to open the web again and it restarted again. I tried again some hours later but now it restarts before i can even enter my pin. It doesnt restart as long as its connected to the charger. So is something wrong with the battery?

Sounds like it's the battery dying then. If you have it plugged in and get logged in, what does the battery % say?

When i plugged it in it said 1% and starded changing numbers in this order: 10%,20%,30%,40%,50%,60%,70%,80%,90%,100%. When it reached 100 it said battery is full and and i can disconnect the charger. When I did it started restarting again.
