My buddy has a laptop and the keystrokes are not working with the keypad. I tried connecting a USB keyboard and the keystrokes still don't work. The issue is, is that when the login windows comes up to type the password, nothing types. I also tried disabling the sticky keys, but nothing. Is there a way to bypass Windows Vista log in through BIOS? When Bypassed I can disable the windows logon from the desktop.I looked in BIOS and couldn't get it to work right. I was thinking the keypad is bad. But it also could be a connection problem, because the USB keyboard doesn't type. I know the USB Keyboard works, because it lights up and the sticky key light can go off and on. I also tries booting in safemode, but the Windows Logon still come up.Any Ideas?

...and you can't bypass the Windows login via the BIOS. Have you tried an older PS2 style keyboard (if you can find one) or another USB keyboard connected to an alternate USB port?
