Apple products are manmade afterall, and like all manmade things they too can fail. The question is, what is Apple going to do about it? My guess is that they ignore then downplay this as usual.

yeah, don't worry about it, they're going to close/delete anything on their forums about it, as well...A problem does not exist if you can't complain about it...

I use my Ixplode everyday... no issues.

I’m sure some or most of these cases are certainly possible but I wonder if in some instances such as this article if perhaps people might be jumping on the free sue apple deal being issued when you purchase an ixplode now.

“”the damage to Bouhadi's iPhone looks as though it was caused by something hitting the screen rather than the device exploding/shattering/overheating.””

How many Sony Batteries actually exploded before they did a total recall?

This gives whole new meaning to the concept of planned obsolescence. Congratulations on your new purchase....this Iphone will self-destruct in 1 year.

"tweexing Apple-branded shrapnel out of his eye" -- ouch! Maybe we can use this in war... strap 10 of these onto a small robot, drive it into an enemy camp, overheat self -- boom, Apple-branded shrapnel wins the war.

hmmm... any iExplosion news from the States?... why most of the iExplosion news were from Europe.... do we get different lot of iPhones here?

hmmm...
