I really want to save up for an Apple Watch Sport. It's a lot of money though. I know there are these "Make Money With Your Smartphone" apps floating around. I just have no idea where to start. Does anyone know any really good money making apps out there? Good enough to rack up 350 dollars in a reasonable amount of time. (Willing To Wait 5 Months Or Less) Thanks.

Update: I'm now using MTurk. https://www.mturk.com/mturk/welcome. They have some great things. 35 dollars for transcribing a movie. That's great!

This made me smile "Make $350 doing pretty much nothing" I would suggest getting a temp job somewhere for a week or two extra and make the money doing that. You aren't going to get that money doing nothing and if the watch is not worth the work, it probably isn't worth the money.

I'm currently 14 and nobody hires me. I asked around and stuff, but they declined. I'm at my last resort, which is the iPhone app.

You haven't asked enough places.

I'm not gonna say what you 'need' or don't need...but at 14, you don't need an Apple watch.

An App to "Make Money"

1. Learn xCode
2. Design and build a mobile app or game that people might want to buy
3. Sell it, and your users info

Dang I know what that feels like; I just turned 17 myself. There are a handful of places that hire 14 year olds. What city do you live in? Here are 2 options for making some cash online: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/welcome and http://www.swagbucks.com I think amazon turk is better then swag bucks.

If the Apple Watch is his thing, that is fine. It's not wrong and it's not exactly a speed boat or a motorcycle. Telling him to make an app-------Ok. Telling him to sell an app-------Ok. Telling him to sell users personal information-----------Not OK!!!!!!!!! That is something he for sure should not do!

PS: isn't there something in tom's about illegal activity and promoting it?

That is how 99% of all the other apps make money. Especially the 'free' ones.
(it was mostly a joke)

Well I did take it seriously, because this is a 14 year old. I do agree most free app ask for everything, but your SSC. Imagine if free computer software did the same thing. "Hello we need access to your camera, hard drive, mic, internet/isp, control of starting your pc, full ram access, no cpu limit, and......."

I know xCode. I have created several apps with it, but to be a registered developer and get it on the app store, I need 400 dollars. I don't really have that.

I would use it in class. I'll say I need it to tell time. That's why I want it.

You can tell time with a $10 Timex.

A lot of theoretical freeware does exactly that. Bundled with toolbars, 'change your search engine', change your home page....
They don't do that for free. And since YOU aren't paying them, someone is.

Pennsauken. I looked at turk and it seems pretty good. I can do these things. Will the completed turks go to my Amazon or to PayPal?

Ok now $350 seems a lot for a handful of lame games (Not expecting much in the way of games from apple). How would you not get caught staring at the screen for any long period of classes? A nintendo ds is a much better gaming solution in tight areas.

You can probably do it either way. That is New Jersey? Then if I read the state law correctly, a 14 year old can't get a job there. In wisconsin you can. XD http://lwd.dol.state.nj.us/labor/wagehour/lawregs/child_labor_law.html

I always look at my wrist. It would be normal for me.
