Any interest in the Yamaha 01V?

Is anyone here interested in the Yamaha 01V? We've had a Yahoo group
for the discussion of that mixer for quite a few years now, but the
original group owner has abandoned the group and as a result we've had
some serious problems with Spam. This problem has caused many of the
original participants to leave the group.

Today I started a new Yahoo group for discussion of the 01V family of
mixers. In the past twelve hours, 10 new members have joined. I'd like
to try to reach some sort of "critical mass" so we can have meaningful
and useful discussions.

So if anyone here would like to take part in discussions around the 01V,
please join us in this new group:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Yamaha01V/

Here's the description that I've put in place:

"This forum is for discussion of the Yamaha 01V digital mixer family. It
is open to any owner or prospective buyer of one of these mixers, and to
the Yamaha team responsible for the development and support of this
product. Appropriate topics include basic usage, interfacing issues,
related products, problems and troubleshooting, firmware updates, hints
and techniques, and anything else directly related to the use of the mixer."

At the moment, there are no membership restrictions - anyone can join
and become a member immediately. In about a week, I will change the
group to "moderate new members" so that we catch any spammers before
they can pollute the discussion. We could see a spam or two during our
"open enrollment" period, but I'll put a stop to that quickly.

Please join if you're interested.

Jim,

Did you check out the O1v96 group on Yahoo? I read it for a while after I got
my 96 to replace my old v.

Yes, I'm well aware of that one. But most of us are still using the
original 01V. Thanks.
