I, of course have that review system which I had to go with 1920 x 1200 resolution on it, but I never run it at that. I keep it at 1440x900.

I have a 24" LCD that runs 1920 x 1200 and that is fine... but that is 7" more screen!

I've been a long time reader but this is my first post.

After reading all of the great reviews of KillerNotebooks I have decided that I MUST get my grubby hands on one! The customer service and prices sound wonderful.

This is going to be the first laptop I've owned.
I really want to get an Executioner but I just don't think it would be a smart move with my budget at the moment and the fact that it has no included optical drive bugs me, even though I know the reasoning behind it. It is quite the machine though. wow!

So I've been contemplating getting a Wakizachi. I'll need it for work (at least that is what I tell myself to justify the purchase) but I really want a machine that I can game on.

Does anyone know if the X1600 250MB Radeon card that is in the Wakizchi will effectively run games like Oblivion? I also play Wow and other stuff oblivion just seems the most cpu and graphics heavy.

If all else fails I'll just cross my fingers and hope for a Christmas bonus.
Executioner is my dream machine. haha

Any information or help is appreciated.
Thanks guys. :D

I have a core2duo t7200 with a x1600 and I play both of the games you mentioned.

In WoW, in raids it is about 40fps, in average areas 60+ and when looking at the ground it goes to 120 lol. This is on a wsxga+ (1680x1050) reso, all turned on except vertical sync. With vertical sync it seems to be always around 40-60 mark even if looking on the ground.

In Oblivion , wsxga+ would give around 10+ fps. For me, my min comfortable playing fps is around 30fps, and you can get that for 1280x800 even with HDR or bloom. In complicated geometry it goes down to 20fps. But overal still rather smooth play. And it still looks just as awesome when dropped and scaled in that reso.

What do you think about the mobility? I am considering replacing my company provided laptop (inspiron b120 - why do people buy dell?) with the Wakizachi. I would like a machine that I could bring with me to work daily and on the occasionally trip (ruling out the monster dream machine - executioner). My only real intensive application is WoW, and that is not really that intensive.[/quote]

ive had it for about 2 -3 weeks now. I take it everywhere. I take it in the car , work , home , starbucks. Its not heavy at all , extremly quiet. 110% satified.

I only play wow on it , and use it for quicken. It plays wow beautrifully.
