I have a small widget i was wanting to make for Android, but I know almost nothing of coding. What are some good sources, software, examples, etc to learn to code for an Android app or widget?
my background knowledge consists of creating wicked awesome websites in HTML.. and i can read and understand (minimally) javascript... so 'noob' comes to mind.
On the flip side, is someone wanted to make my widget... that'd be cool.. lol. I just want a 2x1 widget that when you tap it, it pings a specifc server for a server status and displays the status for you. I already know what i want it to look like and everything.
