Anyone know the build quality of this Acer laptop?

I have heard that Acer laptops are not the best, but many people I know have had Acers and I haven't seen much of a problem. I've also heard it depends on the model and specs. I recently bought this laptop but I just want to be sure, is this a good Acer laptop?

Also, is it worth it to get the extra 2 year warranty for $70 for a total of 3 years warranty? (It comes with 1 year already)

Read the reviews on newegg. Some good, some bad, but more good then bad.

Not worth it to get the warranty. It might be worth it for no name brands, but i'd say Acer is a decent company.If it breaks in 2 or 3 years you'd probably want a new laptop anyways, however it's most likely won't. Thats why they are pushing these warranties. They don't do it to lose money. The prices are set as they are because of statistics and they know they will make money. (kinda like casinos)

Yea in 3 years I would probably want to replace it, but what would happen if something goes wrong a little over a year and a half from now, when the 1 year warranty expires? I've heard Acer has had some problems, and so far mine has none (I checked overheating too), but is this type of Acer good?
