Not only unnecessary but positively dangerous. This sort of software greatly increases the chances of malware ending up on your computer.

So in answer to the OP's question, yes there are better apps - just about any other app is better than this snake-oil.

How dangerous does it need to be? Why bother with programs like this which do nothing useful.

I also installed ccleaner but i got rid of advance systemcare since there's a lot of adwares.
