App Detects iPhone Radiation; Apple Nukes

I think Apple has fair reason to reject this app. It's not actually measuring radiation, but merely guessing, not to mention the idea that this radiation is clearly dangerous is unproven, thus releasing this app would make everyone think that as they make a call they're "contracting" brain cancer. And sadly, many people would believe this. Even though it's unproven and stupid to assume it's completely true.

As for abowlofsoup's comment: It's true a lot of users here are trolls and have incredible biases, I won't claim to be an expert, but people here are incredibly biased and narrow minded.

50 years from now when people star dying from cell phone radiation this little stunt will be evidence that Apple know, and covered up, the fact that its product can kill people if not properly used.

An app cannot measure that amount of power being used by the iPhone's radio transmitters - there's no API for that. Also, how on earth does it know how far away the nearest cell phone tower is? Does anyone actually think about whether the app's claims are in fact possible before coming out with their "Apple is evil" opinions?

The amount of radiation emitted by the phone (+ energy released while doing everything else) will be equal to the amount of electricity it consumes. Law of conservation of energy. You would know that if you paid attention at school...

Um My cellphone tells me how far away a tower is. It also uses triangulation to figure out where I am. So I would say yeah you are an idiot. Plus I think they can probably measure the power a phone draws. My Blackberry will display signal strengh in db which is a pretty good indication of power draw.

I also heard cell phone radiation is good for alzheimer's. At least in rats.
