I want to transfer my ancestry app and its contents to my computer. I have Dropbox on both computer and smart phone

Well the whole app you can't transfer to the computer. Unless the phone is running Windows and not Android. Which of course this would be the wrong forum for. For that you would need to post in the "Windows Phone" Forum. http://www.tomsguide.com/forum/forum-115.html

Now if you are referring to an Android phone, as I said you can't move the app onto your computer. You should, however, be able to sync the data though through the Ancestry website. If it is their program/app you are using. You would be able to then save the data to the computer.

If you are using some other application, you will have to locate the folder and files on your phone that contain the data, then copy those files over to the computer (just connect the phone via...
