[citation][nom]liveonc[/nom]There's an Apple Mac Pro VS PC Hackintosh build comparison: http

/benchmarkreviews.com/index. [...] mitstart=5 Only problem is, updating is so risky, it's a waste of time if you intend to build it for work (unless you don't update). If Apple provides their own motherboards to an Official Hackintosh Partner, they can still control who can use their OSX & maybe offer an "inferior" OSX to them & sell even more Mac stuff, keyboards, mice, PC enclosures, monitors, etc..[/citation]

this link is a great resource on building a Hackintosh. I used it and my system is not only updated to 10.6.4 with all updates but it is also rock solid and stable. I use it for film/video editing using Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, DVD Studio Pro, After Effects, etc.
It sports an Intel Quad-Core overclocked from 2.5Ghz to 3.0Ghz, 4GB of RAM, nVidia GeForce 9500GT GPU, 160GB SATA Drive, DVD Burner, Thermaltake Liquid Cooling and an Antec Sonata Case.
I'm quite excited to see what Lion has to offer, especially for my Hackintosh (and because all of the computers where I work are Macs).
