I'm very excited for the upcoming apple car key feature. I already have ditched my wallet, and now I can't wait to ditch my car key! Empty pants pockets rule

It looks like the beta will be available in iOS 13.4 for developers, so it's just a matter of time before it gets to us consumers. From what I've read it works automatically without even requiring FaceID. While this process seems super easy, I'm wondering the the security implications are. Can someone hack my phone and then hack my car? What do I need to worry about?

Similar to loosing the car key, someone could find your phone and drive your car
even if the phone is out of battery using NFC

anyone with a laptop and OBD tool can trick your car, no need for a phone

you can share the key to any other phone, so maybe scammer could use this to get you to provide your key to them
