The company's new guidelines describe porn as "explicit descriptions or displays of sexual organs or activities intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings,"

I guess that means no pictures of iProducts. They can't have all their fanboys jizzing on their phones and voiding the warranty now, can they?

[citation][nom]dxwarlock[/nom]they are not instigating it, we bash apple of our own free will.Apple needs no instigator in any discussion to invoke the bashing, it as its own entity does well enough by itself.[/citation]

Yeah, well it is a lot tougher than most people think, being number one and all - it's like having a giant target on your back.

Jealous people are always going to be jealous, and apple haters are going to keep getting madder and madder!

To be perfectly honest I think Apple has a better approach when it comes to apps than Google does with Android. Okay so I can't get a porn app on my iPhone. I really don't care. What I do care about is that I can download any app on the marketplace and I won't have to worry about getting a trojan or a virus. Any obscure app or any nonsense app and I know I'm safe. I don't have this luxury on Android. On Android I am always at risk because any app is accepted.

I like Apple's policy more than Google's.

yes thats it, ist my envy of them.
has nothing to do with charging 50% more for hardware, 100% more for a machine the equal of in PC specs would be laughed at, or enforcing the mob mentality of:
"we dont need to learn how to use computers, or know about the hardware it contains, its white, shiny, and has an apple on it. that be default makes it top of the line!".

"....apps that are mostly just marketing material or ads or apps that push advertising or promotions directly to your phone"

cant have that can we.... you know like having an ad of a Nisan leaf pushed to your iPhone is not on..... well not unless they getting a cut of the revenue, then it's all good

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase system stability deserve neither liberty nor system stability. - Benjamin Franklin

[citation][nom]hellwig[/nom]At least Apple is telling people what it expects from Apps. I still don't know how Apple gets away with this legally. Imagine if the only way to install programs on Windows 8 is to download them from the pre-approved list from Microsoft's store? The lawsuits would never end.
I hope this is sarcasm you are directing at mindless Apple users. Are you seriously saying if you buy 20 different worthless poker games from Best Buy, its Best Buy's fault for selling them to you, and not your own fault for buying and installing them?[/citation]

The point Apple is trying to make is that If Best Buy sold only poker apps ....would you shop there? the same is true for the App store. If Apple has a bunch of useless Apps no one would shop there.

The problem is that Apple doesn't permit another store. We are forced to use Apple app store or not use apps at all.

Why should they?

[citation][nom]Vladislaus[/nom]It's the same if Microsoft forced everyone to buy every single through their market place.[/citation]

That would be true if Microsoft made EVERY program in thier store. But they dont! Apple doesnt either....they merly provide a portal for App writers to sell their products without fear of others hacking and getting it for free. Really though, If it was that bad; I doubt they would have 250,000 apps with over 1 billion downloads to date. Besides there is one store that i know of that sells Apps for Jail broken iphones...Cydia.

The reason why Apple forces someone to use the app store has nothing to do with someone being able to hack a program from a third party developer. It has to do with control or else Apple would have permitted other stores, like the sores from our cell network providers.

Conjecture...Thats all your arguing with!

How many 'thats' are you using for your 'arguing with'? (or is the single quote key broken on your keyboard?) (That's all you're arguing with!)

Is that better? I thought everyone knew what a contraction is.
I will admit i did make some obvious mistakes. But I would never try to correct someone publicly with incorrect corrections.
