You know hacks are not just for software, there are hardware/software hacks. Which is how they probably "hack proofed" it.

Most cell providers wont honor warranties if you hack your phone. Well that's if you don't unhack it before you go in to service it.

And FYI you could install linux on xbox, and ps2 and ps3 I think.
