D'oh!

[citation][nom]halcyon[/nom]If Siri really works well then great. I might use it one. However, according to many comments all the folks that have Android phones can already do this way better than Siri ever could. So, to all the Android folks that already have something better than Siri...is this tech really useful or just another gimmick?[/citation]
I have the original Droid 1 (still ticking after 2 years) I use the voice recognition alot, it's not perfect but I find it very usefull, especially when driving. But Android's voice recognition is nowhere near as sophisticated as this video shows the new iPhone to be. So, no, it's not just a gimmick for me. I would definitely use this feature all the time.

[citation][nom]scuba dave[/nom]My room mate had the droid x, and I can't remember what his girl had.. But it was crap. Yeah, sometimes it would be absolutely spot on when he would try to "chat text" while driving, but it was so bad at times that he stopped trying to use it. So did she, and so did I when I had my droid. [/citation]
My friend, who has a deep southern accent, had a problem with Android's voice recognition too. Perhaps this was the problem?

It would be cool if Apple's version of voice recognition actually works and is easy to use. They seem to do well with works-and-is-easy-to-use theme.
