I have an Acer 5610z running vista home premium.

Just last few days, nearly every thing i try to open i get 'application failed to initialize 0x000022 error'

can anyone suggest a solution, ive gleaned it to be a permissions error, and tried these two command lines:
CACLS %systemroot%\System32\*.dll /E /G BUILTIN\Users:R
CACLS %systemroot%\System32\*.ocx /E /G BUILTIN\Users:R

to no avail, it suggests an 'Icacls' command but that wont work (/e unknown command) :fou:

any help please will be gratefully accepted.
