Greetings

Recently I bought Asus K53U notebook with AMD® Fusion APU C-50 (Dual Core) Processor, which is on AMD's M780G Chipset.

Im having trouble figuring out what APU's are compatible with such chipset. The amds website doesnt provide any useful info. The C-50 only has 1.00Ghz and I want to upgrade it a bit.

here are some of the specs:
Processor AMD® Fusion APU E-450/E-350 (Dual Core)/C-60/C-50 (Dual Core) Processor
Chipset AMD M780G Chipset
Memory DDR3 1066 MHz SDRAM, 2 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion up to 8 G SDRAM
Display 15.6" 16:9 HD (1366x768) LED Backlight
Graphic AMD Radeon® HD 6310 Built-in E-350 (Dual Core)
AMD Radeon® HD 6250 Built-in C-50 (Dual Core)
Power Adapter Output :
19 V DC, 3.42 A, 65 W
Input :
100 -240 V AC, 50/60 Hz universal

If it's not soldered to the motherboard and one knows how to take apart the case to get to it and re-attach the heatsink, sure you can. Also need to keep in mind even though the socket is the same, the power use of some CPUs is different in the same family of CPUs and not all motherboard can work with those changes.
