I rent and cable tv is included so i do not have a cable account. I do have a cable line coming in and have a digital tv. Is it the responsibility of the landlord to supply the adapter or the renters?

Solution
Typically, no. That is not their responsibility unless stated explicitly in your rental agreement otherwise. You can certainly ask, no harm there. Good luck.

Solution
The cable system may not require an adapter if you have a QAM tuner in your TV. Connect the cable to the TV RF input. Set the TV to QAM and run the channel scan to see what channels you can get.
